TBB - EPK

Two-piece, Cleveland based, adventure folk band the Baker’s Basement (tBB) features the eclectic musical stylings of vocalist/drummer Kate Dedinsky and vocalist/guitarist Adam Grindler. At their rhythmic core pulses an orange striped, homemade, bucket-drum concoction, the funky back beat on which Dedinsky performs standing up with her signature swagger and sway. The duo’s intimate sound, rooted in a spirited flavor of folk music and topped with playful vocal layers, often volleyed to-and-fro across the stage, offers a humorous yet heart-wrenching sonic signature that’s altogether their own.

"Some of their songs are almost spoken word. And they are hilarious! But they also have this intriguing side to them—it’s not just all humor.  I love how they let their songs flow out of them. You can tell these two have incredible chemistry.”
— Amanda Rabinowitz, NPR

“Seeing The Baker’s Basement live, though, was startling and eye-opening and vividly surprising in the best of ways. The joie-de-vivre or playfulness they lend their songs and stage patter, it appears, distracts from deeper truths – these two musicians really know what the fuck they’re doing.”
 — Justin Vellucci, Spectrum Culture

“This dynamic duo is empowered by the unprecedented ability to ensnare audiences in perfectly curated coffeehouses and dingy underground punk clubs alike. Effortlessly blending whimsy with unapologetically authentic human emotions, these Cleveland chameleons can captivate casual skeptics and devoted music connoisseurs with their profoundly resolute yet utterly approachable sound.”
— Rachel Gerboc, Bands in the Bus
